Two New Events at L’ATTITUDE

L’ATTITUDE 2022 is less than two weeks away. This year’s event includes a concert at Rady Shell; the coolest new concert venue in America according to Forbes magazine. The concert is in partnership with La Musica, and will feature music superstars, Juanes and Farukko. Tickets for the concert are available on Ticketmaster. The Rady Shell sits on San Diego Bay and is walking distance from the convention hotel, the Grand Hyatt. I haven’t seen a concert at the Shell but I know plenty of people who have, and they have all been described as the single best concert venue they have ever experienced. It is a rare opportunity to see superstars the caliber of Juanes and Farukko in such an intimate setting. This past summer, more than half of the top songs on Spotify were Spanish language, so it was no surprise that Puerto Rican superstar, Bad Bunny, became the first Spanish language performer to be named, artist of the year at the 2022 VMA’s. Given these trends, L’ATTITUDE plans on expanding its focus on music in the coming years, and expects to host some of the largest events featuring Latino artists in the world.

Also new for this year, is a basketball showcase. The L’ATTITUDE Classic will feature two games on Sunday, September 25^th at neighboring San Diego City College. The first game will showcase two of the top high school basketball programs in the nation. Veritas Academy is a prep school in Los Angeles County that has some of the top Latino basketball players from the U.S.A. and Latin America. Veritas will play Arizona Compass, the second-ranked team in the nation with seven players listed on the ESPN Top 100 players in America. The second game will feature Latino basketball legends including several former NBA players and coached by Manu Ginobili, who was recently elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame – the first Latino player ever to receive basketball’s highest honor. The game will also feature entertainment by Alex Sensation. Tickets are free to L’ATTITUDE registered attendees or $20 at the door. I blogged last year that I believed that in 10 years, 10% of the NBA will be Latino, and Veritas and L’ATTITUDE are partnering to make that a reality.
