This week, the media was dominated by the impeachment hearings. While I am going to save my opinion on the subject for another time, watching Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and Fiona Hill testify convinced me of two things: First, knowing that there are smart, dedicated people like this in our government gives me confidence that despite the incompetence of some of our elected officials, our government is in good hands; Secondly, it’s about time we elect a woman for President of the United States.
The latest polls show Bernie Sanders opening us a double-digit lead over his democratic rivals and with his big win in Nevada, momentum seems to be building. Donald Trump and his supporters appear to be delighted by this. I assume because they think Sanders would be the easiest Democrat to beat in a general election. Sounds eerily familiar.
